Joy Miles, a meticulous and organized individual, finds herself unexpectedly embarking on a road trip to accompany her forgetful yet outspoken mother-in-law, Loraine, from Louisville, Kentucky to Savannah, Georgia. While initially feeling irritated and flustered by the situation, Joy gradually develops a deep fondness for Loraine as she witnesses the strong-willed woman’s journey of adapting to life after the loss of her spouse.
