"Supervisor" Jeff Bridges is set to star in the new series "The Old Man" for FX, marking his first leading role in a television show. The series is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry. Bridges will portray Dan Chase, a retired CIA officer who went off the grid decades ago and has been living a quiet life in seclusion. However, trouble finds him when a relentless assassin tracks him down, forcing Chase to confront his past in order to solve the situation. Jon Steinberg and Robert Levine, known for their work on "Black Sails," serve as writers and executive producers. Production for the pilot episode is set to commence in the fall.
