Brij Mohan, a 36-year-old man who owns a hosiery shop in a bustling market in Delhi, becomes increasingly desperate to escape his miserable life. Tired of his oppressive wife and burdened by mounting debts, he yearns for a fresh start. Determined to transform his circumstances, he embarks on a daring plan to assume a new identity as Amar Sethi. However, this decision proves to be his downfall when he unintentionally commits a murder in a woefully clumsy manner. Panicked by the consequences of his actions, Brij Mohan flees with his young girlfriend, believing that their new relationship will bring the change he craves.
